I graduated from Carthage High School and attended Panola College, earning an Associate's of Arts degree. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a B.A. in English and History in 1989, and I completed my M. A. in Englsih in 1992. I have secondary certification in English Language Arts, History, Sociology, Theater, and Dance.
I began teaching in 1989 at Stephen F. Austin State University as a teaching assistant while working on my Master's degree. I've taught in Corsicana I.S.D. and in Center I. S. D. I have been teaching in Shelbyville for the past fifteen years. I enjoy teaching dual credit English, pre-AP English II, English II, and theater arts, and I sponsor UIL One Act Play, UIL Journalism, and UIL Ready Writing.
My husband, Micah Windham, and I have been married for twenty-four years. We have four children, Tori, Wyatt, Sam, and Molly. Tori is a senior at University of North Texas, Wyatt is a freshman at Centenary College, Sam is a junior at Shelbyville High School, and Molly is a sixth grader at Shelbyville Middle School.
